2 weeks ago I had completely different plan. I was building a C++ saas framework. Something I could launch multiple apps with. I even had the first one planned.
But now? That first app’s on hold, because I’ve got 14 days to build an app my wife actually needs for our business.
We started selling stingless bee honey…and right now she’s managing everything through WhatsApp and spreadsheets. Which is… painful. It’s already breaking down. Orders, payments, inventory – it’s all getting messy. We’ve got a market coming up in two weeks time, and if I don’t finish this by then, she’ll be stuck managing sales manually.
So yeah, I’m building a C++ SaaS… in 2 weeks.
Now, some node.js vibe coders might say, “easy, I could whip up a MVP in a weekend.” Yeah, maybe. But I’m using C++; my saas framework isn’t ready; I’ve never deployed a C++ saas before. And I don’t have access to your massive node.js ecosystem. Heck, I don’t even have two weeks because I can only do this part-time.
Who was it that chose C++ for this again? … cough …
What I do have is: a basic foundation: database, accounts, login. A real problem to solve. And a hard deadline that brings everything into sharp focus.
No idea if I can pull this off… So, I’d better get to work…
You should probably stop reading, and go build something too…
