ZitaFTP Server, ZitaSync, & ZitaFS
The AmiWest Amiga computer show was last weekend, and I unveiled some of what's coming for ZitaFTP Server. ZitaFTP Server was never meant to be "just another FTP server." I always had bigger plans...
Now that ZitaFTP Server is out of pre-release I can finally turn some of those plans into reality. Watch the video above to see what's coming. Or, read the summary below.
ZitaSync
Copying photos/files from my phone has always been a pain. I've never found a solution that I like. Bluetooth is slow and clunky. USB is fiddly, and you need to manually choose which files. Cloud file syncing software sends files to a third-party server half a world away and back (and I have to trust that they'll respect my privacy).
Enter ZitaSync. Once paired with ZitaFTP Server, it'll automatically copy new files directly to your computer.
Current status: very early prototype

ZitaFS
ZitaFS will allow you to browse FTP servers on your local network, and you can also mount FTP servers as if they're a local drive. It'll be able to (optionally) mirror files locally, and I plan to make it support and preserve all file attributes (even AmigaOS attributes, provided the FTP server is ZitaFTP).
Current status: early development.
